#2 Dictionary Exercise

1. commuter (n)  someone who regularly travels between work and home    上下班往返的人
    The train was packed with commuters.

2. well-being (n)  
the state of feeling healthy and happy     幸福;安康
    People doing yoga benefit from an increased feeling of well-being.

3. corresponding (adj)  
similar, or resulting from something else    相似的;相應的;對等的
    Company losses were 50 percent worse than in the corresponding period last year.

4. disrupt (v)  
to prevent something, especially a system, process or event, from continuing as usual or as expected    打斷,中斷,擾亂

    heavy fall of snow had disrupted the city's transport system.

5. railway (n)  
the metal tracks on which trains run    鐵路,鐵道
    We live close to the railway line.
